Good Morning BYC!!

I hope everyone that is going to the swap in Stanford (at least that's where I THINK it is

) has a wonderful time.

Just found out I cannot go....my husband's flight was changed up and he'll be coming home (for a whole few hours before leaving again) right dead smack in the middle of the day.

I had my heart set on going to the swap and seeing all the babies, and of course I wouldn't let BHep talk me into bringing ANY home

I suppose this is for the best...no coop yet, hubby gone for another week on business...

this is taking way TOO long!!

I guess I am just impatient and anxious to start showing off my OWN

Em - I will be thinking of you (while you are thinking of everyone trying to breathe out of the water

). I know you'd rather be tackling the Turkeysaurous' or helping to enable BHep!!

I am sure there will be other shows and if so, I'll be sure to let my DD stand guard - the Turkeysaurous will be afraid of her...

OMG>>>> that "Swap" in Sanford was a JOKE !!!!!

There was like 20 raggedy chickens and a goat.

Waste of time & gas @ 3.59 a gallon.

O well... spent time chatting in the car with mom & the kids.. Quailty time wherever ya can get it.

Hey everyone I guess I am the first home from the show, it was great, i liked it better than the last because there was more breeds this time.. It's so cool to see breeds you've only seen a picture of, now I am in Love with Jersey Giants.. what an awesome breed and so large.. I like the large full size breeds and also the bantams I love them all

got my 2 Lavender Orps from HT they are now snug in their inside crate till it warms up a bit and I can start to introduce them to the rest of the gang.. Anyway AB was at the show and Story his mom and wife and of course HT and Matt, and Billy J and Gavin and Allison. and a couple others sorry to say can't remember their names. Not as many as last show. still great to see everyone..

Funny, mom and I were eyeing those giants up, she was ready to get some too! The blue jg boy was incredible. We love our mammoth birds! Y'all can have them frui frui birds as matt called them! Glad to see everyone it was great!

To all those who couldn't make the Show, am sorry, even though it was wet, foggy and dull the people and the birds more than made up for it!!

Sandy, many thanks for Sheba, we got back to the van and found she'd already laid an egg...... She is now home, in with Henry who is so pleased to have a lady for company. If he gets too much we have a drop rate for him!

So, on to the chick/egg count:

Barred Rocks: 13 incubated, lost 4 @ lockdown, remaining 9 hatched.

Buff Orpingtons: 12 incubated, 1 lost @ lockdown, 2 remaining, 9 running around.

Lavender Orpingtons: 8 incubated, 0 lost, 3 still incubating, 5 running around. 2 are very grey, the other 3 are black with very yellow undersides to them.... Today is day 21, so we will give the others until Tuesday..... maybe....

Eh, still at pet expo. Not too much going on. Did meet some new people, heard a few new techniques to try for getting rid of black algae too so will try those next time I have algae issues. Posting from my phone now, will write more later.
