Wonderful photos!! I'm sorry you are having snow though...we have pouring rain out in Johnston County - complete with a tornado warning!

I hope everyone out there is staying dry...I am ready for SPRING!! This weather is hampering my plans to gather building supplies and have them waiting in the yard for my husband's return. Hopefully it will dry up in the next few days!!
BHep - your area (like mine) is under a tornado warning/watch (something like that) so be careful!!

Thank you SO much Lisa!! I did not go out there today due to the monsoon of rain that decided to drop (not to mention the tornado warnings). Now that I have the address though, I am SURE I will be making it there soon!! Since we have some orps being held for us though...I want to get the coop done first!!

I think the auction might actually be closer to me now - since I am sort of between Clayton, Selma, & Smithfield...lol.

To be honest, I don't know WHERE our house "qualifies" as being located.

Start posting pictures of the run you're working on!! I plan on posting our blueprints soon (as soon as the hubby makes them up that is)!!

I'm on the east side off of Hickory Grove Rd.
I haven't had chickens since October either, lol. But picked up some EE's a few weeks back and a handful of bantams at Tractor Supply the other day. The bantams aren't doing really well. I only have 3 left out of 6 and one of those doesn't look good. They seem really small even for bantam chicks.

Still coming down a 1:30, wish it would let up as the dogs are starting to make me crazy.

ruthann and all, please be careful @ auctions, there are lots of sick birds at auctions and people don't care. you even see them outside poultry shows. I am worried even with quarantine i could bring something home that could infect my flock....... also you have no comeback at auctions, the sale is "as seen" with no guarantees of anything except probable heartache.......

have a nice day whats left of it

Thanks Gavin for the heads up!! I honestly don't plan to go to an auction to buy any - just to look and learn!! It's really the closest place to me that I've found, so I'll admit...I'm curious!

I don't have a place for quarantine yet, so even more of a good reason to avoid purchasing any!!

Besides, there's this AWESOME BYC'er who is letting me purchase some chicks...so for now...I'm set (well...I WILL be, once the coop is constructed).
