My order of Mealworms arrived today. They do NOT come in the plastic bins. They come in a cloth sack that has crumpled newpaper in it. That is then put in a box to ship. Not the most sophisticated way to ship but it always works really well.
$21 plus $9.95 shipping for 5,000 medium size worms just ain't too bad. 2 days to get here VIA priority mail and there were practically ZERO dead. I got the bins ready this morning. They all buried themselves down in the bedding. If anyone wants Mealworms in bulk I can recommend Grubco.
2 small containers of mealworms are already in happy chicken crops. I keep some 2oz and 3oz containers beside the bins to put treats in and take out. They have good lids so that I can keep them in my pockets. If the birds see the containers they will surround me and not let me get anywhere.
