No picture worthy progress here. Just wheelbarrowin and diggin and not a lot to show for it except 3 posts in place. The pile of materials has grown as well. Maybe tomorrow it will be looking impressive enough for pics. We'll see.

Things are pretty slow going with young'ns running around all over. We did have the help of my brother and future SIL, but that means the addition of another little person also. We had a fun day, though! I do have veining in my 7 Ameraucana eggs from MissD'Uccle here on BYC!!!

Started my new chicken house today. I only have silkies, but I plan on getting a Polish Chick or two. My question is: Do I need to put in roosting bars? Or should I just place a 2x4 near the bottom of the house. This is only for them at night or when they are cold and want to come in. They will have an outdoor run. Right now I do not have any roosts, but should I have them?

Thanks ahead of time.
I still have not found the Polish egg, but I no broody hens right now, so I will wait until they are to get one. If any of you know where I could buy an egg or two, let me know.
