They are all too cute. I love them at that age before they feather out.

I think your mystery chick may be a mix, looks to have some silkie in it with the black legs and black beak, the feathering on the legs too. Just a guess though.... Congrats on such a good hatch.

Ooooh, wouldn't that be fun!?! I emailed the pics to the seller and am hoping he'll have a good idea. I am so curious! I also have a "what breed is this" thread going. They are so fun! And thanks! I am pretty excited! I still have the last two in the hatcher, but I'm not really expecting anything. But, I've got to put the Cochin egg in there anyway so I'm in no hurry! Hope you had a good weekend. No productivity going on over here - too much chick watching and kid craziness. Thanks for your input on my little mystery!!!

Morning all....

Here are some pictures I took yesterday.

Here are the 3 BLRW hatched 2/5. As you can see 2 have straight combs.

ETA: So... do you agree that the BLRW are all roosters?

Cute chicks, especially love the yellow one stretched out . Looks like a rose comb on the mystery chick. Marked BLRW? could we be a blue or black wyandotte? guess only time will tell. congrats on the hatch they are all too cute. I have some BLRW on lock down right ow and due tomorrow.

Adorable pic of your DD, Bhep! She does look like she's in love!

The other guys are really pretty, even if they do have the wrong comb! I hope HT can use them for her project!!!

The seller of my mystery chick says... French Blue Copper Maran! No explanation for the light brown egg though.

And I just want to say how much I love this forum. My last little guy I had to help out of his egg after it dried out - he pipped one side, then the total opposite side, zipped back to the orignial pip, and stayed put for hours. I came to check on him at 5 am and the membrane looked all dried out (even though humidity was at 70%) so I removed the chicks to the brooder, put the 2 unpipped eggs back in the incubator with a damp paper towel over them, and felt of the membrane - I was so scared it was going to be dead but it opened up its little eye and tried to push out of the shell but was stuck. So I covered him with a damp paper towel for a minute and then chipped away at the shell until he finally pushed out. It was a bit tricky rolling the sticky membrane off but finally got it. The little chicky was great later in the morning but did have one toe curled inward. After reading about it last night (with my DHs help) I made him a little shoe. I just took off the shoe to see how it was doing and make him a new clean one and guess what - it was already all fixed!!!!! It is now perfect! Totally amazing. I am so grateful for this site and all of the information and helpful people!

I don't have an after pic yet but here's the before:
