I do not know about any City ordinances but we live in the country and as long as the place you are buying doesn't have any deed restrictions you should be fine. You can also look for Agricultural Districts, we are located in one and qualify for our local program.

Good Luck in your venture back!

Awe...thank you. I am NOT a fan of hardware cloth...I'm scratched up, beat up, and we're only just beginning. Haha!! If I EVER think I need to do this again, I'll let you know!!

All I have to say is that is going to be a lavender and chocolate explosion around here before the years over. There is a plan to my madness.

can't wait to see that, hey HT those 2 LO I got from you have gotten so big, I'll get some pictures to show ya. I just love them.. the smallest has caught up with her sissy now. they don't sleep in the chicken coop though, they are afraid of the adults, I have a wire dog crate set up in the duck side of the coop and thats where they sleep at night, they have their own private bedroom, [their choice] they hang out with the chickens sort of during the day, but when they would go into the coop in the evening they wouldn't get on a roost they would get into a corner with their heads buried into the corner, so I gave them this option and they like it. I've never seen any of the other chickens picking on them, except for the occasional peck which they all do to each other. They are my special girls though.

30 chicks out so far.... 33 more to go.

They are not what I want, so I need to get them gone before we get attached.
