Good morning everyone!! I just realized that my chickens have done a number on my feed...(that or DH hasn't been keeping me in the loop). Went outside to find ALL the feeders empty and only enough feed to fill on 1/3 of the way full!!

hoping they can last until Wednesday (highly unlikely).

I can't believe DH wouldn't tell me we were THAT low on feed!! BOO!!

Still no eggs, so I am trying to patiently wait!! TRYING - I've never been good at this whole patience thing!! I am scheduled to get 2 50# bags of feed from Reedy Fork Farms on Wednesday but I am seriously doubtful that I can hold them until then...any suggestions?? I'd really HATE to have to buy feed especially since you cannot buy just a 5 or 10# bag!! On a happy note, all is well in the coop!! I saw the new girls outside yesterday mingling with a few of the "lesser big kids" so that made me happy!! A couple from church found out we have LO and were dying to buy eggs off of us...

I told them I'd have NO idea who the egg would be from and how fertile it would be as they haven't started laying yet!! Apparently they just like the look of the LO!! I offered to give their information to "our" LO breeder (Cheers to HT) but they said no.

Not to be mean...but they are "unusual" people - so perhaps they were not serious about it...

who knows!! LOL. Well, busy day ahead!! It's a birthday party prep day...the house is clean once I make the birthday cake and clean up that mess!! Then it's off to clean up outside for the BBQ.

Praying the rain stays away until AFTER the BBQ... Have a great day everyone!!

my second peachick hatched today

AND surprise............it hatched out white. So that means one of my peas are split to something. Black shoulder...not sure. But if my research is correct it is female.

My peas are all India blue to my knowledge. Now I can't wait for more to hatch. 2 more in the hatchers and a bunch in the bator.

Busy day for everyone, can ya tell it's middle of summer? of feels like it anyway.

I wounldn't be in here at the computer if my back wasn't giving me a fit. But I did get diaper harness ordered for my little duckling, she is so cute, even my dh is in love with her. She really thinks shes one of the dogs. She goes to the door when she wants to go outside, I am trying to teach her to come in through the dog door. she'll come through but not on her own yet. so for now I just use alot of paper towels and oxine in a spray bottle and keep the poo up unless my dogs get to it first

I hope your still having a good hatch Beth and looking forward to seeing pictures of your lil pea chicks!!

I am not sure of the colors... I have posted pics on the peafowl thread with pics of the adults to figure out where the lighter one even came from
