vfem, since they started treatment for Rocky mt. spotted tick fever can you feel a difference? Went on your etsy, and have to wait for you to get well so I can order. I hope your feeling better today!!

Ruthann, also wanted to say that skinning is the way to go when processing, wow was it easier than plucking. Still

and sware I won't let them have chicks next year. But thank goodness it's over for now still have 5 more chicks not too sure of yet and I gave one roo a repreive since he is very laid back. So we'll see about him. Be thinking about ya'll this weekend. Stay cool everyone.

No Lydia, I wish I was feeling any better but I'm not. However, he said it could be 3-4 days before I even remotely felt better... and even then, it would like 15-20% at first.

What if the tests for lyme and RMSF come back negative? (He took tests for an additional 4 diseases as well) What do I do then? I'm really kinda stumped at what to do. I need an actual dr at this point, I can't do anymore Urgent care co-pays, its getting a bit pricey.

Ok, not going to jump the gun... I promised I wouldn't start asking that question until I got that kind of answer. So trying to be patient, but I literally have friends and neighbors over here helping me clean my house, take care of my daughter and bringing me food. I can't work and I'm going stir crazy! I'm TERRIBLE at taking it easy!!!

Congrats on the 6 eggs!! I have FINALLY figured out what the problem is. It's obvious now...all my girls think they are boys and THAT'S why they aren't laying. Yup. Mystery solved.

I was so excited about your post Gavin, I ran outside to double check and....

nothing. It's okay. I secretly think they are enjoying driving me crazy with anticipation!!

Either that, or they are being kind and letting me get through my store-bought set. I keep buying just a few because I'm waiting. Then again, ML said it's good for them to "develop" later!! So yeah...my girls either think they are boys or are slow to develop!!

Vfem - I do hope they find out what's wrong and SOON!!
fl.gif
praying that it is something "small" and easy to treat!! Hoping the PO doesn't deliver my package to my neighbors (like they've done before) because they are too lazy to drive down the dirt path!!
smile.png
You're not even that hard to find, so if they do the same to you...you're right, it's a worthless "company"!!
lau.gif
I hope at least you are able to smile!!

BHep - Your girls are doing well and say "Cheep" (which roughly translates to "Hi! Miss you" or something along those lines.)
gig.gif
For some reason Tabitha (the white one) seems to be the one most picked on...I think it's because she looks "different" from the rest. Most are either gray/black or orange and then she's a beautiful bright white. They must be jealous of her!!

It's suppose to be another scorcher today - as high as 102!!

Try to stay cool and comfortable!! I'll be happy when this humidity breaks -
fl.gif
hoping for some storms to either drop the humidity or cool us off -oohh...or both!!
big_smile.png
Have a great day everyone!!

Thanks BHep and Ruth! STILL waiting on those blood test results... getting ANNOYED!
somad.gif
Thursday at the latest... its FRIDAY, and I got these tests sent in on Tuesday!?

Ruth, they don't even bother to bring the boxes out sometimes! I just get a notice to go pick it up?! Hello.... is my tiny gravel driveway too much to put it on my porch? It's not like we're that rural... its country suburbia out here!

Okay, yours is definitely more pathetic than mine. I do live a mile down a dirt path that is filled with pot holes. I will say they FINALLY delivered my package this morning (it was a different postal worker...this one ALWAYS brings me my mail, even if it isn't a box...she likes "talking" with my DD) so now I have some YUMMY jam to eat for lunch!!
ya.gif
What test are they waiting on, do you know? I actually had to look up RMF because I (haha) thought it was only prevalent in the Rocky Mountains (hence the name). Sometimes, I wonder about myself.
gig.gif
Anyway, let us know if there is anything we can do to help. I am anxiously awaiting the results with you!! Hmm...it seems this has been a month of learning patience. Ugh!!

I am trying to get up the nerve to go upstairs and work on my sewing projects that I have. Sadly, I turned the AC off upstairs (we have dual heat/air) to conserve electricity and yesterday it topped out at 100 degrees.
lau.gif
I was sweating before I even began my workout up there!! Still, I have projects that NEED to get done - there's a wedding in just over a month!! Why does the heat zap all desire to work or do anything other than lay around and veg??
lau.gif
Or is it just me??
gig.gif
Say...now that I think of it...maybe that's why my chickens are not laying...it's too hot for them!!
hu.gif
I am still trying to think up excuses for them!!
