I hope ya'll can get him next time he comes around, because you know he will Be back, why is it always our special ones? We have loaded guns because we don't have any children in the home, I realize others can't. So sorry

Lost another young bird this morning, that makes 5 this week, all polish. I have read that they are not winter hardy, nothing about the heat. My Polish made it through last winter with no problems. I saw on the weather that it will be another week of 100 degree days

So sorry for your losses.....

Do you know who the dog belongs to? Have you called the police and filed a complaint. You need to 1. file a complaint with the police. 2. Drive around the trailer park and if you see the dog go and see them. Depending on their reaction all depends on how you take it further. Do you have leash laws in your county?

Finally get a good gun and shoot the dog, don't worry if it is a pet or not, now it has the taste of blood from your chickens it will return, if it does shoot it then call the police to take the necessary action wit the owners.

Us chicken folk spend lots of time and effort with our chickens, and these inconsiderate F***ers need to be taught a lesson...... (yes they make me mad)........

According to my husband it was a chained dog from somewhere as the chain was dangling behind the dog as it ran since it obviously broke free!

However, we have no leash laws in the county to protect us, or the danged dogs... and its gotten to the point I'm shooting at dogs CONSTANTLY! There is a new dog running around every week! I try to outsmart them, and they manage to out smart me!!!

.....it is always so hard to lose the fav ones too. I'm not to shoot someones pet but if it keeps coming back them it's not going to stop until it is moved away or dead.

And the dog owner had no remorseful feelings for their dog killing your pet

so why should they care if you stop the slaughter of your own. You could always opt for the live trap and turn the animal over to the county animal control if you don't want to shoot it Just a thought or two
