Good morning everyone! Good luck with the storm, I know you all are smart and are well prepared for whatever happens, everyone in the line of danger I hope is going to lock down and/or get out of dodge for higher ground. Tonight we're cleaning off the deck and I'm locking the girls inside their coops. They can live without run access for Saturday. Last time we had a heavy rain in the spring from a storm, we got over 2" one of my younger girls drown. I was so bummed, I'm not chancing that again.

I'm working today and tomorrow... but not so sure how tomorrow is going to go, as if I lose electricity I'll be clocking out early! MIL flies in Sunday, so I hope it passes and we're cleaned up before she gets in around 3. This is going to be one CRAZY weekend!

Got my grocery trip done yesterday though, so no fights over milk or water! Just forgot the beer.

Oooh, I never tried that!? Sounds good! I'll add candied ginger was my choice, I always kept some in a ziplock bag in my purse. It was like candy, but always made my tummy calmer because my morning sickness was always after lunchtime or right before bed.

Ginger is great! Ever try pickled ginger from the Asian food section?

NH, try peppermints. Check the ingriedents for real peppermint oil. The small dose of sugar will help settle your tummy.

Get some catnip tea. You drink the tea. Tink gets the damp tea bag. She will love you for it! Catnip shouldn't be used excessively as it can calm the intestines TOO well (and everything literally stops up!).

Pretzels are your friend! Salt and bread settle tummies. Of course, don't overdo the salt.

Here's hoping that these help you pregnant (or may be one day) ladies. My "factory is closed", but most of these tips work for any stomach problem.

Oh, 1 more thing - the thing that got us around here during Fran was tornadoes spun off from the hurricane. So be ready just in case!!!!

vfem - Darn it! I knew I forgot something!!!!!!!!!

I am going to be worried the whole time tho. My mom says that she doesn't think we will get hit with much but I always worry. I can't keep the hens locked up in the coop because it is so hot here. I have to hope nothing will get to them while I'm gone.

My mom has some stomach issues and she drinks Ginger tea and it really help her, it tastes good to
