So guess our next chickens will be silkies huh, Jl? I could have gotten some back in the spring but my chickens are always pecking each other in the head, just couldn't see putting those lil ones through that.

Our TSC just started carrying it and I bought some. We do occasionally get fleas in the runs and coops. I would rather use DE than Sevins dust, which is what I used last time. Our dogs have also been having a difficult time with fleas. They are being eaten through Advantage and flea collars and organic flea spray AND flea baths! It's getting ridiculous. I am allergic to sand fleas and I am covered in bites as a result of being unable to get them off the dogs and cat.

So, for worming for birds do you just add it to their food?

And has anyone used it for cats or dogs?? My bag came with NO directions so...I turn to my favorite experts and teachers of all things poultry!

(sigh) it looks like it, ML! Both the DD and DH remarked at how cute they were at last Saturdays chicken swap and DH didn't even protest when DD asked if we could get the pair at the swap. Some little boy beat us to them, so.... Maybe that's why I haven't found a roo for my LF pen. I need a Silkie roo and hen to go in there!!

Last spring we used the Comfortis with the Advantage or whichever we were trying at the time. It helped, but they were still getting in the house and biting me and one of the kids. Poor thing got his mothers bug attracting genetics! Idlove the
Ink though. Maybe if we get a jump on them it will help. This summer we could literally watch them crawl all over the dogs stomachs less than a week after reapplying the Advantage. The vet assistant acted like I was an idiot when I complained that it wasn't working. Good to know I wasn't. Are we hatching nuclear fleas here in NC?
