Hi, I am new to the forum due to having a stray chicken come to my house.

I live in Winston-Salem.

Yesterday was my middle son Korbin's birthday. He is 3 years old now. So here is how the day went.

4:45am I am awake for some reason and I hear what I swear sounds just like a mouse in my laundry room area. I keep hearing what sounds like scurrying and other noises that sound just like a mouse in the hallway. About the time
I am ready to wake DH up to investigate, Korbin steps into our bedroom! I told him he scared me and told him to get in bed with us. How he escaped his bedroom and made it to our bedroom without making a sound is still a mystery to me. I keep a baby monitor on in their room at night and a baby gate at their door so that if they get up they don't roam around the house without my knowledge. Somehow he climbed over the baby gate and came to our bedroom without making any noise. Usually he'll fuss if he wakes up in the middle of the night and he didn't that night.

8:30am We are up starting the day. I made eggs and bacon for breakfast for Korbin's birthday.

11:30-3:30 We are at the BBQ Festival. Watched the Lumber Jack show twice. I got

by DH for commenting on the nice physique of one of the competetitors.

I can't help it, I am a sucker for a nice strong pair of arms, and the rest of him wasn't too bad either!

4:00 We were picking up Korbin's birthday cake and the last few supplies we needed for his party. Also let him choice his gift.

5:00-8:00 Setting up the party and having Korbin's birthday party. He really enjoyed it. It was very small, just DHs sister, her husband and son, and my inlaws.

I got sunburned during all the walking at the BBQ festival.

So now my face is burnt, even my scalp is burnt! Cameron (the baby) got burnt a little on the nose too. DH got burnt too. I didn't think it was that bad out today.

Any one know what to do with a roo that kills anything that comes in to his pen! I can't kill it yet

) but he kills or attacks anything, chicks, hens, roos accept for the two hens that were there before him. He's in time out all byhimself right now.

JuneChicken! So funny - a friend just had a wandering chicken show up in her garage! Obviously she is smitten and now considering building a coop and getting her some friends!! Good luck!!

Sorry about your troubles ramirez. Makes me glad I don't have any roosters!
