thankfully I am pretty sure polk county is to far to drive to right now. LMAO also I keep reminding myself I have 2 girls heading here in a couple weeks...I cam completely addicted to partridge silkies.....its so hard to restrain myself from asking. LOL

Gavin and Allison would give your girl a great home though if you decide to part with her!

Morning all.........

Thanks to a reminder from SCM, I have fresh banana bread baking in my bread machine right now. I pulled it out from the way back corner of the cupboard yesterday. Made a loaf of banana bread and started a second this am.

The kids descended on the 1st loaf, like a pack of starving chickens.

This afternoon I will make a loaf of Italian cheese bread to go with our supper tonight.
My daughter said we are homesteading now.

IF only it was that easy.

Next up is butter...gotta find some cream. Hey before ya know it....I'll be canning.

Gotta go feed the real staving chickens

My young blue silkie cockerel that is looking for a home is expressing some partridge, can't see it real good in the picture but definitely there.

HT.. OMG !!! I was outside this morning, staring at my chickens.... That Eng. Orp rooster has quadrupled in size overnight, I swear !

I will need to get new pictures. His name is Nehemiah & the hen is Abigail. She is large too, just not as impressive as Nehemiah.

And SO so sweet & docile.

my calls are doing wonderful (thanks for asking) and almost finished growing - You know it was 29 degrees outside and when I left them out until their run this morning, Crackers my only known "for sure" drake ran right for the swimming pool... Made me freeze!!!

Believe it or not, that is my 5 month old duckling/drake. I'll try to get pics of my newest girls today and post. course I don't have any Lavenders yet. Hint hint. maybe someone would send me some eggs one of these days.

AND Not boil them up for the chickens
