I'm in The middle of A Project/idea i have. I'm talking to a few breeders and organic farms across the Us about brinin back the pilgrim early century style birds, self efficient, smarter, less prone for predators, natural and internal.

I have chicks that are driving me nuts! I think I should have waited until Spring to do the chick thing..They have consumed my whole basement!

If anyone is interested in 2 week old white leghorns or easter eggers, let me know! I'll be selling at least some of them! I'm open to trades, too (probably not for more chickens, though!)

Cool idea, keep us updated on how it goes. We live in the mountains and have found that the game is well suited for our area since they are good foragers and can fly which helps with preds, but would love to add some old breeds that your talking about to my group, so interested in how it goes for you.

Does anyone know what shows or swap/sale places we have going on in January-February? (if there are any).
I’m thinking to order some d’uccle chicks from Privett and keep only one pullet out of each color, but I don’t want to do it unless I know I can sale the rest after a month or so, once I know witch one I keep.
