Now that looks yummy! Do you pickle your eggs with Beets in it?

Well with such a yucky day outside, figured I get started on a couple of things inside. Got all 60+ quail eggs hard boiled, they are now soaking to dissolve shells and will be pickled tomorrow. Also make some Apple Pie turnovers. The pie filling is homemade and canned, I did use store bought pie crust but the cream cheese icing is homemade as well.

Made 8 but only iced 4 for eating soon, others will be iced when we get ready to eat them.

Wet as a mop here.... 150 ft of fence up, need another 100 ft. I can never leave well enough alone and decided to go bigger and include the grape vines into the pen. And also need to add a second gate.

For turnovers I like to use crescent roll dough with a little powdered sugar dusting to top it off.

Anybody wanna come help out, we are in for a long night. Our goat delivered today, DH was even in the barn and never heard a thing. Not one, not two, not three but FOUR kids!!!

He has gone out for kid colostrum, bottles and milk replacer as we are going to need it. Will take turn in the barn tonight making sure all is well, everyone is eating and mom is handling this many o.k.

So back to my question, anyone wanna come help out!?!

You only about half an hour from me. If I wasn't afraid I would fall asleep at the wheel I would drive over to help or at least play with the goatys. Kikos?

They are! Dad is 100% kiko, mom is pygmy. We just bred her daughters to him the beginning of this month, sure hope their first kids aren't this many.

Thanks for the offer Matt, you are welcome to come play with them anytime.

We just tried their first round of supplimental colostrum, did not go over very well but we will keep trying. They are not too happy with the nipple either, going to dig out one of my little ones old bottles and see if that helps??
