Hey guys, sorry I keep disappearing. I'm sick again (shocker!) and I've been dragging and not doing well. From the research I've done looks like I'm having a 'flare up'. I've been in a fog and can't remember certain things all of a sudden. Like what I was doing 5 minutes ago, or I forget what I'm doing while I'm doing it. Its kind of weird, and I wouldn't have even noticed other then hubby telling me whats going on and what I just did. I'm going to try to sleep the next couple of days and recoup once I'm done with work.

For now I'll have to take a break from the garden, and that's hard with how beautiful its been. :)

The DD is helping me a lot and lucky chickens, dog and bunny. She's been feeding and doing everything she can to help me from forgetting. I get the water, but she tried to help me carry everything. She's such a doll for a 5 yr old, and she shouldn't have to be helping take care of mommy, but she's a great kid... I couldn't be luckier!

Thank you everyone for responding to my goat question! In answer to the questions that were asked. We are looking for pygmy, nigerian dwarf or a mix of either of those breeds. Something that will stay small. We are only on 1/2 acre right now so although I like some of the larger breeds of goats we don't have the space for them. We already have our 2 wethers so we don't really want another boy right now. Our other stipulations are price adn travel distance. We wouldl like to find something under $100 and not have to travel far. DH is very picky about how far we travel for animals! For us the closest places are Salisbury, Lexington, and Winston-Salem. I don't know that I could get DH to travel to Greensboro area or not. I posed a siilar question on BYH and someone mentioned the NC Ag Review classifieds. I looked them up and found a couple ads that are interesting. I showed them to DH, now I just have to wait and see what he wants to do. We are also planning to fence in more of the yard for the goats and my inlaws (who live basically next door) are thinking about fencing in some wooded area for the goats use too.

DH has been talking about getting rid of our chickens and using their lot as a goat shelter. I am really not sure how he thinks that would work really since it is basically a hoop house. We haven't posted them on CL yet, but if DH decides we are getting rid of them that is where they will go. I've seen plans for a cheap goat shelter using recycled materials like pallets and OSB on BYH and will be showing DH that post. Maybe he will be interested in doing something like that in the bigger fenced area and the chickens can stay for now. I'd like to at least keep them till they are laying, if for no other reason than to see what color eggs I get from the EEs!
