Just went outside to check on my girls, who are free ranging for the 1st time without supervision, and find a wild dog pack! I chased them and got a couple shots off with my high power pellet gun. I checked and searched for my girls and finaly found everyone alive, except my BLRW roo Prince, he must have warned the girls to hide and bravley faced the dogs!

R.I.P Prince.

So very sorry! ((((((hugs))))))) He did his job though and ya got to be proud of that. He saved his girls, and that is a roosters job to protect them ladies.

Michael this is who I contacted, as recommended by the NCDA in Raleigh. He then gave me my local testers name and contact information. There are several through out the state so you should hear from someone relatively quickly. Hope that helps

I know its his job and I'm super pround of him! Its a bittersweet feeling, recently I've been treating him for two claw marks that he got while protecting the girls from a coopers hawk, I'd never seen anything like it, the hawk dove and Prince puffed out his chest the hawk hit him head on, a couple seconds later the hawk flew off! I loved that roo
