If I didn't know for sure that my DH would chop them to pieces I would love them, but they wouldn't make it in the door with him. But Bhep is right it's a white crested black polish. Cutie

LOL...If I'd realized there was a snake person here, I'd never have made that comment without clarifying up front that it was meant tongue-in-cheek!

As to why he's thinking about placing the pair....time and energy. We both have health issues. We've cut back a lot of things already. He travels with his job, and I can't get to the snake cages to care for them when he's gone. So, two go, one gets relocated to where I can reach it, and we keep adapting to what we can do. So far, so good!

If you wouldn't mind take a picture of the cage you have them in?? If I had a place for it all I would be interested in buying or know someone who'd be interested. I know about the bad cage set-up I hate the one I have mine in right now, and am going to get a friend to help me rebuild a new set-up and do a stack unit so I can get atleast 1 more (if not a pair) at some point.

I was rather being tongue-in-cheek about catching wild mice to feed the snakes. But I'd rather him do that than use healthy chicks.

We've had snakes since we were teenagers, both of us. And we're in our 50's now, so we've kept snakes a while. My son breeds color morph of boas. We used to keep assorted boas, but once we moved back to the US we kinda got out of it. Now he's just got the three balls, and I think he's looking to get rid of the sexed pair and keep the unsexed one.

I wish I could buy them from you but my DH is afraid of snakes. I'll never forget this navy blue ring neck that I found while I was hiking in Canada. It was a baby but BEAUTIFUL

It even had a periwinkle tongue!! So cute. Wish I could have some.

Hope you're able to find some good homes for them.

Nothing fancy; just aquariums with screen tops. But they are on bookshelves in the office, and we don't really have room to put them elsewhere. I would need to step up onto a stepstool or chair to reach into them, and I can't do that. Funny thing is, 10-12 years back I built an aquarium stand to hold four ten gallon and two 20 gal high tanks...it was a project in a welding class I took. Who has it now? My son, of course.

How is it that our offspring end up with the cool stuff?

Ooo snakes, I love them, I had a beautiful pair of corn snakes up until august of last year. They were both 10years old when they passed. I had them in a 100 gallon aquarium, which I sold and took the money to get started with chickens. I miss having them. I have a 20 gallon aquarium and have thought about getting a garter snake.

Warning

for those who don't like them - link is to snake pictures. lol
