Moores, my chicks have shipped, too! Twenty (+3) Marans that are guaranteed arrival by 3:00pm today. Arrgghh! That's way too many hours to wait and worry! I've also got silkie babies getting ready to meet their new buddies. One that just popped out and is still floppin around, three that are pipped. Baby time!!!

We have a very pregnant Nigerian Dwarf Doe, so between her on the baby monitor, our cat who decided he just HAD to go out last night, and the 15 3 week old puppies in our kitchen I didn't get much sleep either and I have to work a 12 hour shift at work today

I also really want to be here when she kids, so wish me luck she holds off til I get back home.

on a very pleasant note, our digital thermostat is in route to be delivered by 4 pm today which means I can set eggs tomorrow

Hmmmmm.. we will see when I am begged to death for a stinkin' snake..... then that leads to raising feeder rodents.....that leads to "well that one is just too cute to be food, must become a pet" and so on and so an............

My 5 year old got me up at 3am sick, then my 3 year old got me up at 6am... I tried to go back to sleep, but it didn't happen. I need to go out to Walmart today for a second temp/humidity gage. May have to take my brood with me.

Thats when you get a snake that eats frozen/thawed and you can buy them froze from someone else. LOL

We have 1 pet rat, he's quite old now - got him for a breeder anyway - much too big for my snakes to eat. lol

I have to fix a new system for the rats, then I can breed them a bit more often. If I do - and you wind up with a snake we can arrange a month or two worth of frozen food at WCA. LOL Trade snake food for eggs or chicks....OR you could raise quail to feed the snakes......

ML............... These Muscovy are insane layers and broodies. One hen is sitting on 15-20 eggs. These girls are laying ALL over the place. This weekend for sure they NEED to be separated.

I also need to get in the impossible crevice the black hen is in and count and candle the eggs.

And on a gross note...I have experienced my first broody duck poop. OMG I thought hens were bad. I gagged until I had stomach cramps.
