I have no idea what a "green card" is, but from what I was told on the phone, including a call-back from them after they checked info, I need both the hatchery license and the gamebird one. The quail don't fall under the free poultry/ratite dealer license based on what I was told. The one I don't need is the pen-raised quail to sell for consumption, which is a totally different license through the same people. The only people consuming them will be us.

Too many licenses, and not enough people on the same sheet of music. It seems I need the Hachery license, the Hatching egg dealer license, the Chick dealer license, the Poultyr/ratite dealer license and the Wildlife Gamebird license. All this to sell eggs, chicks and adults of chickens, turkeys and quail. Sheesh.

What pretty birds everyone has. I'm getting my place ready for the TONS of chicks I'm going to have hatching by the end of the month. RIR, Dominiquers, Blue Babies, BBS orps.....

The BEST news is my Splash orp pullet has started laying. I'm going to give her a week to get into the swing of things and then it will be time to collect them and start making some money on hatching eggs. LOL
