Can anyone explain this to me? she lays HUGE weird eggs all the time, just today's is kinda scary lookin'!

thanks! I read a little, the only one that looked reasonable was the "defective shell gland" and I doubt we'll cull this bird, she is very sweet and friendly. The eggs are still edible so I just think we'll let her be for now

Thank you everyone for your help with my broody. I guess this weekend (assuming there is no baby) DH will be building a little pen for the momma and her babies. She did take the egg back that she had kicked out, so we will see how well that lasts!!

What do you all suggest for segregating mamma broody?? What is a good set up?

AHHH, so many things to do now!!
