Was planning to head to the WCA today.... just did not feel like going

So I just boiled up 11 dozen eggs to feed back to the chickens. They are happy and when the rest cool....they will be happier.

Think it is NAP time.

Ended up doing very little chicken-y stuff today. We got six trees planted, filled in some holes where The Boys were trying to protect us against moles, and did some cooking. Sunday is baking day! I made apple streusal muffins, banana-coconut muffins and am working on peanut butter muffins. And sourdough calzone for supper. And then I'll do some stuff for work tomorrow. Managed to burn two fingers but good. Idiot.

Five eggs pipped now. They are taking their time, and not talking at all. I haven't heard a single peep. None of the turkey eggs have pipped.

OH question - anyone interested in some guinea eggs like NOW - I bought some and the guy brought me way too many to fit in the incubator with my swap eggs that are coming, so don't want to let this dozen go to waste.

Spent the day outside trying to figure things out. My little rooster is pitiful all by his lonesome, anyone willing to part with a couple hens?
I spoke with my husband today and we are taking our dog to the county shelter tomorrow. We can't be sure she won't go after our daughters or someone else's pets. We gave her a chance and tried to work with her but after last night we just can't trust her. I'm heartbroken, it's just been an all around horrible situation.

Evening all! It's the end of spring break for us here in Cumberland county and I am not looking forward to waking up at the crack of dawn to get my son ready for school! My little girl Sophie has been sick the past couple of days with some kind of virus. Poor kid has it coming out both ends!

But she is slowly getting better.

I'm still trying to win that contest for her on Facebook. If we get the most votes little Sophie wins a hen shaped bag. We are currently behind by 4 and seems evertime I drum up some votes the other persons doubles it! Definately a heated competition!
