CS...if you can read posts...don't worry about Australorps on Dad's account. I'll get him sorted out one way or another. Hope your roo is okay.
I catch the occasional possum in the feedroom helping itself to cat food. I've a tendency to pop a five gallon bucket over them and slide the lid under, then take him for a ride to the other side of the interstate. (You know why the chicken crossed the road? To prove to the possum it could be done.
) The first time I caught one, I walked into the house and asked hubby to take me for a drive. He asked why. I told him I had a possum-in-a-bucket. He didn't believe me!
He put the bucket in the truck and we went for a drive. He was expecting some kind of joke when I opened the bucket, and was surprised to see a possum. (My husband is a recovering city boy.) A couple weeks later, he comes in and asks me to show him how to bucket a possum. He saw one eating cat food. So we go out and I bucket the possum for him. Now we both catch possums. He's proud of his new skill.
