NH, that is CRUEL! How dare you get me all goo goo eyed and wanting a new baby fuzzy and I can't afford to feed another fuzzy. OMG, *swooooooon*.

Sorry I haven't been around much, Holy #^%$ ... my garden just like exploded and is throwing up more things then I can handle harvesting. I've done 2 pots of salsa and got a pot of sauce going now before this batch of tomatoes go bad. Blackberries are going to be expecting us in the morning because there is only another week or 2 of those left if that. Then figs will be ready next week, all while the cukes and tomatoes roll in like a storm!

Alex and Beth, next Wednesday... serious... you wanna can tomatoes, we can can tomatoes! Hahahaha

Good thing I picked up 6 more cases of jars... but I'll probably need another 2-3 cases by then to catch back up. :)

I'm even running out of pantry storage room! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I am absolutely jealous beyond measure!! I think I need to convince you to come over once the season is finished and have you sit down with me and give me pointers or something...seems all I can grow in our garden is grass!! Haha. We have a new plan for next year...we'll see how that goes!! Glad to hear your garden is going so well...might have to order some jam from you again then!!

ETA: Also, if you are here giving me pointers, I can "accidentally" send a kitten home with you!!

The rooster's weight processed ranged from 2 lbs 8 ozs to 3 lbs 14 ozs. Most were 3 lbs or more. They were 15 to 18 weeks old RIR and BA's.

Ok thanks Matt. I moved her tonight and while I was in the coop after dark, I witnessed something odd... one of my EE pullets was sitting between her sister and my special needs Frizzle Cooper. She had her wings out to cover them both and Cooper was resting his head on her back under her wing. I think she knows he is special because when Lucas, my other Frizzle, tried to put his head on her, she growled and pecked at him.

The big blue/gray mass in the center is Dale, my EE girl. The falcon above her is her sister Chip lol
Lucas is the splash Frizzle in front who got pecked, and the head peeking out in the middle of Dales back is Cooper

So this morning we are greeted with the rare summer rain near the desert areas and we planned to go see the canyon.
The front desk clerk tells me it's 60 percent chance for thunder storms for today and tomorrow...........bummer.
We decide we won't melt in a light rain if we can get lucky enough for it to lighten up and it might keep down the crowds,
so off we head to the canyon.
Just our luck the rain stops and it actually clears a bit so the canyon isn't socked in with fog or clouds.
That place is fantastic!!!!! I've seen pics but they just don't give that awe factor like stepping up to the rim for the first time.
We seen a few elk as well. The folks here not only have deer crossing signs along the road but we seen ones for
cattle, burros, elk and cougars.
Some of the odd things you see but makes sense when you thing about it.

Back on the road again tomorrow to see what is next.

Hope you have a awe-some day tomorrow.
