Thank you for the suggestion RF!! I used a marker last night, so we'll see how that goes. LOL, I am sure the fuzzy butts will rub the marker off too!!

I am slightly bummed/annoyed...okay, well I don't know WHAT to feel. I went out this morning to check on chickens and feed them. Before we left, we purchased a bag of feed, for we were afraid of running out while we were gone. I opened the feed bin this morning to find nothing but a white fuzzy film over everything and a stench like you would NOT believe. I am assuming the feed is moldy and rancid and to top it off, our feed store is out of feed!!

I seriously just want to curl up in a little ball and cry!! I am hoping they will get some in stock tomorrow, for if not, I don't know what to do. We have to have special feed for our daughter and I am just beside myself. GRRRRR is all I can say. I am curious as to HOW this happened, as we have NEVER had this happen in our feed bin before. What happens if they've eaten some (note: I did NOT feed them this feed, but I am worried if our sitter might have feed them this and it was moldy for him)?? Is there anything I need to be worried about/looking for?? HELP!! Thanks!! Off to try and track down some soy-free chicken feed!!
I don't think I am far from The county you are in; if you can't get feed or resonable subtitute, please pm me in the morning. I will see what I can get to help. I have feed, but also feed from the garden. Turning the computer off .../ STORM!!!!!!! I'll check back in the morning

Nice to meet you both as well, and thanks for the welcome!

Hope you all are having better weather than we are here in the triad. It has been so dry I've lost almost all of my vegetables. We need some rain!

I think it has rained twice in the last 2 weeks, and both times it rained it only rained for 5-10 minutes. Just enough to wet the leaves. The only thing I have left alive are peppers and tomatoes. The corn, cucumbers and squash bit the dust...or turned into dust more like.

I forgot to post this the other day.

My 3 yr old was asked by DH if she wanted to cook him eggs for breakfast, she said yes. He told her he wanted 3 eggs. I come outta the laundry room to get a drink from the kitchen, there sits DH watching tv. My 3 yr old is at the stove (she cant turn it on) with an egg cracked in her hand about to add it to the one she already put on the stove top. I smile and ask her whats she doing and she says "making daddy breakfast", smiling the whole time. Thank god my stove top is a solid one

After DH's show was done, he helped her make eggs in a skillet.

I can just see that adorable little lady looking up at you to say that. How cute. (But yes, good thing you have a solid top!)
