A hatchery in Wake Forest, NC. Can you see any of the others? Or just the Barred Rock and Amer.seem to be boys?

I know him. He usually is pretty good with his stock if not a little over priced. ;)

The pictures from earlier make it look like the buff orp is a boy too but I can't tell from these pictures.

The hatchery we got our girls from had a policy that they would take roosters back. You might want to check and see if your hatchery does too.

I will post pics of my super-duper serama coop....

Once I get my little babies setup & moved into their new digs.

Here's some pics of my newly hatched... 6 out of 7 - Mille Fleur D'uccle X Lavender Bantam Ameraucana....
(D'uccle's that lay colored eggs??)

They look like they will be black...

Don't mind their half-siblings.... 2 out of 5 - Lavender Bantam Ameraucana.
(They all came from BYC swap eggs I got from cjwaldon) Awesome hatch rate!

Oh yes.... DH also hatched an egg off of his blue sumatra game hen.... beautiful sumatra chickadee!

Today is just NOT my day!
I posted this on another page....

She is at egg laying age, and was purchased at TSC earlier this year. Our girls have a large outdoor habitat that they range and scratch in regularly. Last night when I went out to lock everyone up she was in the house in a nesting box with her mate. I did not think much of it because it appeared to be a good thing that she was settling in to the house at night where it is safe. I have a few bantams that go high up in a tree.

This morning I went in to take a look at everyone, and open up for the day, and I noticed her standing in the floor with her head hanging down. 2 days ago she seemed fine, so it is something new, but what. She has not lost weight, but does not have an appetite. If needed I will syringe feed later in the day. I don't know what I am dealing with here, and it looks like when the ducks had limp neck disease last year. With antibiotics they pulled through, and the vets office told me that the chickens, goat, dogs, and people could not get it; just water fowl.

I feel helpless seeing her so vulnerable. HELP!

I am worried that she will drown in her water, but I want her to drink it. She was ok with me picking her up, and usually has more of a mind of her own; her terms...

I tried to add the one from 2 days ago, but it is not loading?????

Being that droopy I would get her on antibiotics immediately. I would also give her a few drops of Poly-vi-Sol. She may need to be wormed as well. Have you checked her vent area? Go over all the bird carefully for anything strang. Smell her head. Open her beak and look down the throat. Then take a sniff. I know it may be odd, but you have to check everything.

Just be ready as it may already be too late. By the time most birds act sick they are well into whatever has them that way.

Matt... I HAVE to ask...what should she be smelling for ? Why? I assume that is bad? Any info is helpful for us all ..... Thanks
