Dad was going through my paint cabinet seeing what was in there. I have no idea what is in there. I get paint from people that know I use it for odd projects, I end up donating some here and there, and then buy a bunch really cheap at yardsales. He said he found a couple gallons of outdoor paint that was old. Asked me if I wanted him to paint a couple coops. I told him to go for it. I REALLY should have asked what color he found.
The Dutch/Freerange coop and the 'Newbie' coop are now PINK.

This is what happens when a retired 67 year old man gets bored and has a mean streak.

Pictures coming tomorrow. He did a good job. Cleaned all the dirt from rain splash off and didn't streak it.

it looks like we get to have a visit from
Sandy this weekend......never seems
to fail......rain on the weekend......I'm
all for a bit of rain as needed but I want
it during the week.......oh well I will find
some new plans to do for the weekend

Matt I did the same thing, got free paint and mixed. One bucket ended up pepto pink and the other a greenish teal. So I to have a pink coop with teal also

After a year it doesnt smack me in the face anymore, its just that I REALLY do not like pink

. But it was free and is saving the wood, so I just let it go. I'll put up some pics later.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Heading off to Asheville this morning. I'm loaded with fleece going out, but I'll be empty, more or less, coming back, if any transport is needed. I'm coming back tomorrow evening. If any poultry or other things need to make it from the Asheville area back to the Fayetteville area or anywhere in between, drop me a pm today. I won't be checking until this evening, I don't think, then again in the morning. If you don't catch me then, BHep, CSB and RF have my permission to share my cell phone number. I think some others have it, too, but offhand I can't remember who.

I drive a Honda Element, so there's plenty of room. Jake will not be with me for this, so all his space is empty.

Hoping to hear back today and have it be good news. Double good news. I want that orange quarantine sign off my gate post!
