NORTH CENTRAL FLA "BYC" SWAP (UPDATES) post #1/JAN.16th/Dunnellon, Fl.

Hmmm, I guess I might have to put some eggs in the incubator for September; by January Ill be able to bring sexed pullets.

I know January seems far away, but it will be here before we know it.

That is more or less what I was thinking. We are in the process of building a new coop we have most of the lumber. We are going out today to measure and stake out the area. It should be built and finished by then as well as other things, but I thought it would give a lot of people plenty of time to prepare, and the months do fly right by.

I'll definitely be bringing silkie younguns'. I have some due the end of this week, some due in a couple of weeks and have a few more eggs on their way. I'll quit after that...really, I will...I will NOT need an intervention!!

Seriously, the eggs I have in my bator and on their way are from nationally known silkie breeder (like sunshinesilkies

) ....so I should have a few really nice started birds that are a few months old. Maybe even paired by that time if possible.

Do you have any or know where to get some? Their eggs sure are tiny.

I have a friend that does a lot of breeding. She has breeding pens to keep her stock as pure as possible. She will be coming to my swap meet. Maybe she will come to tailsnfeathers swap. I'll check and see what she has.
