I would keep the slathering howler permanently away from the chickens. Dogs like that rarely if ever overcome their instinct to kill.

Yep, she's definitely not ever going to be chicken safe. Sigh. She did eventually stop staring at the prairie dog so I am hopeful that she will hit that point with chickens.

Hello, it's nice to have you here...thanks for joining us! Do you have a coop and run built for the new flock yet?

We have an old dog run in the yard (it was there when we moved in.) 10 ft by 15ft with a cement floor covered in sand/weeds. We ordered the Northern Tool Frame kit. Beyond that... no we have no coop or run built yet.
