Like normal poop. I'll get a picture in a bit. Getting ready for work.

I'm sorry :( Is she laying again yet? Have you started artificial light?

Here's the poop

Ooooh... I want standard and silver.... Some day.... Some day....

I have Standard and Blue possibles is the Bator due this weekend. Just set the silver last night. Cant wait!

Got the wine cooler hatcher built and going. Put the Easter HAL mixed breeds in there. Don't trust it enough to put the expensive purchased eggs in they are all in the sportsman.

Also, because i don't feel like editing....

Anyone want any D'uccles or Silkies?? So far, out of my 9 remaining Golden Necks, all are developing, I also was shipped a dozen Mille Fleur D'uccles as well as 14 Silkie eggs. The silkies are paint and paint/black splits, and seems like everyone hatching thus far gets a majority of the paints with 3-4 black splits, and a couple of random other colors. Hit me up if you want some banties in 3 weeks! LOL
Sorry if this is a repost, but my computer is acting a little goofy, not sure if the first one went. Any way...I'm very interested in a couple silkies. Go ahead and just PM me with any of your details. As I'm new to the world of chickens, I was wondering, I have my chicks coming next week, when (or if) I get some of your silkies, would I be able to put them in my brooder with my 2 week olds? They're Cochin Bantams, so pretty tiny and gentle...Thank you!

My poor little 2 week old "Silver" top left, is actin pithy, I put her on a heating pad and am giving her sips of warm egg yolk.

I noticed she was not doing well when I went to change the bird paper, This happened to be the paper I was putting down when I found her..

I just put the eggs in the incubator 3 days ago, so they're not due for 3 weeks! I'd say if you do get a couple when they hatch, keep them separated from the bigger ones by wire (I've just used chicken wire "pen" in the past and its worked out for littler ones. Older chicks I've used dog crate/dog pen to keep them separated for a few days/up to a week. The goslings that I've hatched out that are ~2 weeks younger than my other ducklings/goslings I separated in the brooder with the wire gate for ~5 days before introducing the new chicks. Seemed to help the older ones get used to the youngsters. I just put them together a day or 2 ago, and all the goslings are all hanging out together/sleeping together now. Very fun to see!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday! Nothing is happening with my eggs yet :( Trying to be patient but I'm not very good at it. @Saris I would be happy to order some with you if you need more people to complete the order. Are they eggs or chicks? Also, I am very curious about the pictures you've posted of the candled eggs. I am seeing what you posted in the bottom of the egg in a number of my eggs. I candled them last night to try to get an idea of where they are (should've been day 19) because I've had such a hard time with my hatches lately. Anyway, what does it mean if the bottom of the egg looks like what you were showing? One of the chicks was DIS when I candled so I did an eggtopsy and the baby was beautiful, a little black and white chocolate cuckoo orpington, and it had feathers, the yolk sac was large, the chick was fully developed but small and it's intestines were visible. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out if my hatch is behind based on what I saw on that chick and from what your pictures are showing. Any help would be great :)

Patience :)
I had one hatch last night, one this morning, and my husband just told me there are 4 running around in the incubator. Only downside is, I need to know which ones hatch from which eggs and put leg bands on some of them to keep them... and my husband is seriously slacking.

If there is only a little fluid in the bottom of the egg that's okay, but the amount in the picture wouldn't let the chick turn into the hatching position. If the chick can't turn then it can't absorb the intestines and/yolk into it's body (days 1-14 the intestines and yolk are at the chicks back, when it rotates to put it's head by the aircell it also moves the yolk to be by it's belly) and it maybe can't get into position to pip for air.

It is caused by the egg not getting turned enough or by it not having a large enough angle when it does get turned. I think the motor in my turner is dying, causing it to turn more slowly so the eggs aren't getting the number of rotations a day they need to develop well.
