@Saris

So, I was going to bring my sick chicken inside to monitor her, but I went out and she's up, walking around like nothing happened.

Ugh, so I just processed 2 of the big boys. I definitely need a plucker of some sort, even just the one you use a drill for. My mobile burner decided it didn't want to stay hot... so something is up with that, and they didn't scald properly. So the first one I just skinned, the other was able to mostly scald, but the wing feathers wouldn't come out, so just cut them off because I was so tired of fighting with him. The 3rd I was going to butcher got a reprieve because I was just so cold and tired from fighting with the other 2. Maybe another weekend.

AND! We got our first true blue egg!! From our Sickie-darling!

The green is from Snowball. So pretty!

Butchered my extra gander yesterday. He'll be Easter dinner tomorrow. Turns out, my tabletop plucker has legs, but can't handle the weight of a goose. I ended up hand-plucking him,but I got a good scald so it turned out pretty good. The wings didn't get scalded as well as I would have preferred, so I ended up citing them off. But with only two of us eating, it's no big loss.
