Cyndie- I don't know why, but I did set the egg 3 weeks after I had made the dad into soup, and the egg hatched 6 weeks after the dad had died, maybe his seed was just too old.

I gave Uglyfoot same age eggs and only 2 hatched.

I have 1 beautiful Pekin & 9 chicks. A few more in lockdown but not sure if they will make it? I will candle later today.
I have many more in bator. I have 3 more duck eggs ready for lockdown tomorrow.

I have heard that ducks are more difficult to hatch than chickens, have you found this to be true? I have recently gotten some duckies and am curious.
