I have roosters... If anyone is looking for some.. below is a Blue smooth frizzle mix.. . this is his grandfather...below, a pure blue isbar...The above is looking more like grampa every day... Blue splash frizzle His neck has many more red spikes
Is your blue smooth frizzle mix a bantam? If so, i am interested. what are you asking?

I did, funnily enough I was good friends with his older and younger brother into and through my teen years but he and I didn't actually hang out much. By the time I was self aware enough to realize he was amazing he was across the country in the Navy. Probably for the best though since I was 16 and he was 19, we "met again" a few years later when he moved home after he broke his back and after each of our respective first marriages ended we got together and haven't looked back since. May will mark 6 years together

Cyndi D...His dad was a cochin bantam, his mom is a mix of a grey egg layer, but he is not small, and he is not super large either, but he sure is handsome!

The blue splash frizzle rooster below is the same age 4 months and also has the Grey egg gene, he is much smaller,

Roosters are Free!

Both are related to this grey egg laying frizzle.

She is small but not bantam.

Very cool... do you still compete? where?

Man my "how I met my husband" is not that cool... We both had a night history class in NIC. It was in a teeny tiny room in one of the outskirt buildings before they started expanding the campus. We were literally rubbing elbows in there. He was one of my neighbors I was elbowing. After the first 2 weeks of class it really emptied out, so I moved a row behind. He kept asking why I moved. And apparently I kept kicking his chair inadvertently. A bunch of the class got together to start a study group that were both joined, and after a couple weeks it dwindled down to just me and him that would continue to go. So instead of studying it wound up being more like dates because we would go to Sharis and get coffee and dessert and talk.

Funny thing is we shared some friends in school, and he went to some of their bday parties I attended, and we didn't ever think twice about each other (i thought he was really weird... But then again so am i).

I wasn't even looking for a relationship at that time either, I was about 6 months single from a relationship I thought was "the one" that really broke my heart and didn't want anything serious. He was going thru something similar. That was almost 12 years ago. Didn't officially get married until 2009.

I Think your Love Story is very sweet and lovely. The Love Bug always comes when we are not looking for it.

I officially set 123 eggs for the Easter hatch a long! This should be interesting to figure out where to put these chicks. 72 of them are mixed breeds and will be for sale. I will have to sort thru the rest to see what I will keep. Of course that means I have to raise them up for a few months to figure that out.

I have decided to sell the Black Copper Marans roosters that I have. They are just average and have crooked toes. I have a dz eggs plus 3 blue copper marans eggs in the incubator right now. I really only want pullets for the egg color. I am not intending to breed them. I have enough breeds that I am going to concentrate on. I don't want to raise them up for the next 4 or 5 months till I can eat them. I can buy decent chicken at the store cheaper.

In the last two days I have found two dead chickens. They act perfectly normal and show no signs of being sick. I was out there an hour ago and the one I just found was walking around like normal. I don't know what is going on. That is 4 in the last 2 months.

I found one of my roos curled up on a straw bale, dead. When I got home one night, about 8pm, last week. I saw my roos fighting and this roos was at the bottom of the ladder (this roo was 7-8months old). I really dont know how he died, i assumed it was b/c one of the other roos killed him. I am sad, he was handsome.
I'm sorry Ty... have you found out why your's died? it is frustrating when we dont know why. :hugs

First day of temp work was today. 2-3 week contract in Spokane (close to where Trent splints to mission). Loved it! That'll keep me busy and out of trouble for a few weeks. Receptionist position. NO ONE at work cares about chickens at all, lol. Glad I have you guys!

I know how you feel, no one to talk to about chicken or ducks. They are polite and listen and then they go on to another subject... so sad

Looks like I'm bleaching out the coops and starting over

Oh noooo, i feel your pain... sooooo sorry for your babies. I hope they didnt suffer. Do you think the 2 Buff O's you gave me are ok? what are the symptoms?
P.S. you can have all the eggs I can collect of my chickens, if you want? but I dont think anyone wants any of mine.
