the one in the pic has been my only one to hatch. Humidity was way to high in first batch and I only had 2 fertile ones to incubate that hatched this last weekend. One was malpositioned and came out all kinds of messed up. He didn't make it through the night.I told my cousin I needed one more barred rock so she gave me a dozen to hatch so one of my OE and 2 of my RIR eggs fell into the incubator with them.

@Saris genetics question. I have a blue copper marans roo and know what I will get with my CL, BCM, black australorp, and my Barred Rocks. But do you have any idea what I will get with my white leghorn, RIR, or this americauna
RIR - babes would be blue or black with the copper-red around their neck, hens would lay darker brown eggs.

White Leghorn - This is dominate white so all the babes would be white with some black spots maybe, they would grow up white though, the males may show red leakage on the wings. egg color would be lighter than other white layers mixed with a marans. The leghorn may be hiding other colors though, like barring or blue or black.

Ameraucana - babes could be black, blue, or splash with the copper around their necks possibly. Eggs would be olive from hens.

LOL When you find some chicken eggs you want, but your incubator is taken...

*sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait for another time lol!
*hugs sowwy.....
