Everything I will be hatching will be mixes, all my hens are purebred, but I have no idea what my dominant rooster is. He literally wandered into my yard. I put his pic up here on BYC and was told he is a mix. The other rooster I have is an Ayam Cemani but he is not the dominant so I am not sure how many of the chicks will be his. Last batch of my eggs had a few with black legs so I guessed they were his. I do not have any bantam or polish in my flock. I will try to put up pics. All of my purebred stock is too young to lay yet.

My neighbors dogs just killed most of my birds

The only ones they didn't get are my mama and her 3 babies because they were in a separate room. My heart is breaking...I just can't believe it.
I am so sorry! Have they offered to pay for them yet? Or fix however they got onto your property?

Thanks in advance!

There are a few ladies that live near and around CDA that can most likely answer your Q. I live south of CDA and do not know the laws and regulations of CDA.
Thanks and welcome to BYC

Hi Ladies... I copied and pasted this Q and A. Maybe someone who lives near or around CDA can answer her Q...
Thanks

Thanks for the help :)

Just read through the responses. Still wondering if they're willing to fix the problem so it doesn't happen again
They are willing to pay for all new eggs. Not sure how they're going to fix the dog issue. We each have 10 acres. One of them took the dogs on a hike and stopped send a text. When she turned back around the dogs were gone. She feels really bad but people don't understand all the time and money I have into my birds. To them they're just chickens but to me they are so much more. They also know that my husband isn't afraid to shoot their dogs if it happens again. I'd hate for it to come to that though.

There is a wine cooler on Craig's list in the free section. It is in Hayden. It would make an awesome incubator but I am helping my friend move and can't go get it

maybe one of you could put it to good use.
