I'm never working again. Every time I start working a new job, something bad happens to the chickens. My husband just texted and something ripped through the run fencing. He says there's only 2 chickens in there. There were 3 last night

The concrete and grading at our house is DONE finally!! I can start planting flowers and grass soon lol.

Tomorrow is going to stink I have to process 4 more boys. The last of my BCM boys. They will follow the older roo's around and then jump on a hen when the older ones are finished. I do not approve of their behavior... They were even chasing down hens to try and get to them. So 4 more for the freezer. They're in solitary confinement and not very happy, but oh well...

So when is the next get together?! LOL

good luck on the planting. I did some this weekend and reseeded the backyard Monday and the waiting is as bad as incubating.

oh no! I am so sorry. My husband told me yesterday that there has been a group of coyotes in the field out front off and on the last two weeks. needless to say he agreed to build a bigger run so there will be no more free ranging.

Good news! My husband is apparently just learning to count! There were 3 in there when I got home!

Pretty sure I know who the culprit is...

But we're putting up a game camera to find out for sure.

Yay! I probably won't be free for a get together until next month, unless you all want to come to my house. I have appointments out the wazoo for my kids (dentist) and my Mom (Kidney cancer, just diagnoses, prognosis looks excellent) and Aunt (kidney transplant prep for chronic kidney failure).

there are a couple of swingsets in Wenatchee that I saw on Craig's list. I tried to talk my hubs into taking a day off work to go get it. But he said no.

well i maped it and it is 4 hours to Wenatchee and then 2 hours north to Winthrop. we could do both places and back home with what we want. it would only take us 13 hours appxly round trip. how does that sound?? Loooong day, huh?
