I have decided that since I am not allowed any more coops untill we move that I am only keeping 1 roo. So that means I need to rehome my blue copper marans. He is 1 month today. Any takers?

he has the dark egg gene so bred with brown layers that will lay darker than normal, bred with blue layers and they will lay olive green. And a is blue so breeding him to black or blue can produce, black blue or splash offspring

8 goslings out of an original set of 15 eggs. 2 were clear, 1 got booted out of the nest and 4 quit early. So, I have a few goslings available if anyone is interested and the trio is still laying eggs, too.

Okay. The LO'S probably won't be ready for a few more weeks untill they start showing gender. I want to be sure I get a girl.

Having room isn't hard, having the patience to deal with those...beasts...is the hard part. The trio we have kept me up all night. They found a new escape route out of their pen and got out 4 times in an hour and a half or so. Finally figured out how they were doing it and got the hole fixed, but couldn't get back to sleep.

Edit to add: On the plus side, my blue slate turkeys and cayuga ducks shipped out today, so I should get them in the next few days.

I have a Tolouse (hatchery/no dewlap) gander and 2 Chinese geese. The goslings are 7 gold and black and 1 silver and black, but some could be pure Chinese, as I had a Chinese gander also.
