I looked for a table in hopes of connecting -- didn't find one.

COngrats to DD on the BB. Nice!! I was hoping to talk to the woman at the egg exhibit/ competition, who I think was Bev Davis (?) but she was gone by the time I had a minute . . . .

My kids did get a signedcopy of Jan Bretts latest book-- a very beautiful book to be treasured as a work of art.

Thanks Walt for talking with me for a few minutes!! Sorry it made you late for the 4pm meeting.

One son loved the silkies, especially the partridge; and the other fell for the silver pheonix. I think DH was releived we did not come home with more birds.

I was going to go, but last minute the person who offered me a ride up there who was showing did something really shady last minute even though I done favors for them.. Kinda a good thing I didn't go cause I had to go Restaurant Depot cause I was low on supplies at the pizza joint.

Always a silver lining!

the size and number of show cages was mind boggling. the trip home, exhausting 6 hours due to the snow storm but i got one very important bird- a imported silver laced wyandotte. now my lavender laced wyandotte project can begin.

can ship.

Yup, funny thing is we did a split order of chicks from a old school judge/master breeder coming in the spring but I never got the cash from that person and it was my check in full amount. I don't want 50 chicks all together so that persons 20 chicks that they ordered are going on market.

Arielle, I wish I got to meet you! Nope, no BYC table this year....at least I didn't see any. I had hoped to meet Walt too...oh well, one day.

Wasnt the sheer number of birds absolutely amazing? The sale area was hopping! It's a shame you didn't get to sell your birds there. Good luck with your project.

I was surprised at how many empty cages were in the show area. People registered but didn't show (maybe because of the weather). Not many silkies for sale, the ones that were there sold within the first hour.

I wish they would make it a 1 day show - it would make it easier to show and sell!!!

We were there on Saturday, yes lots of empty cages, but we did see many more turkeys, geese, and ducks this year than previous years,
I need some info...does anyone have a show flyer listing the entrants, I am trying to find the contact info for the owners of the Bronze Turkey Tom that won a 1st place ribbon, I believe her first name was Erin, you can PM me.

Thanks
Clint

What breed won Super Grand Champion this year? Seems bantams are winning lately, don't know why. There should be 2 classes for super grand champion one for LF other for Bantam and not combine it..
