Northeastern Poultry Congress 2014

i am so excited! will be leaving NY Friday morning to go stay at my aunts in CT. I will have a pen all set up for any new birds i buy. I am hoping some silkies or polish. I have one male silkie that is lonely and would love a hen or 2 to hang out with. counting the days down ^_^

Ok....I have my quarantine pens set up for after the show and am working on a vehicle to transport, also starting to dread the idea of bathing LF in the winter....brrrrr! My son's Black Copper Marans cockerel got frost bite on his comb last week and so we won't be bringing him. Boo.

The forecast looks good for this weekend (I was fearing snow) so I will be driving over for the day on Saturday. Just going to see the show, but will bring along few cages "just in case" I see anything irresistible for sale.

Does anyone have good recommendations for lunch spots in the area?

I've been to the show ground several times of the years-- but once arriving never left to get around town. Everything far too interesting to leave. lol So I'm no help!

I have about 18 chocolate bantam orpingtons chicks 4-8 weeks old $20/25 each. also 2 hens, hatched 2/2013- the mothers of the chicks $50 each. one hen is on eggs, she will go only if prepaid and no eggs come with her. paint silkie hatching eggs, buff laced brahma hatching eggs. also have some split to lavender wynadottes, possibly will sell young pairs.
pm if interested. coming from maine on friday, leaving saturday.

I have blue/black silkies will be 8 weeks old. I will only bring them if anyone is interested. I will trade a lemon cuckoo orpington cockerel 3 months old. Silkies or jubilee orps

I'm showing bantam cochins - red, columbian, black mottled, partridge and black frizzle.

Hoping to find some bantam cochins for sale to bring home :)

OK, 5 birds bathed, 1 to go…. WHY oh WHY do I wait to the last minute for these things??? Procrastination. Had to bribe my son with pizza and a movie to help me….actually sounds good to me, REALLY don't feel like cooking dinner now. So sad that we have to leave home my son's cockerel because of his frost bite. One of the other birds managed to poo on his comb yesterday so I had to catch him up, clean off his comb and then I slathered him with balmex. I just LOVE this guy, I think he looks quite fetching even with his white comb….

Can someone help me with basic ediquette at these shows. WHen I am by myself, I just observe and stay out of the way. Feel like there is more I should know . . . .
