Northeastern Poultry Congress 2014

ooh....went last year but only saw silkies.... anyone going and have any frizzled cochin females?
here is what i would go for :

frizzled cochin
english type orpingtons
very blue egg layer

anyone have these available?

I have a question for seasoned congress attendees.  Do people sell out of their cars?  I went to a few shows this year and their were as many people selling out of their cars as inside the show.  I was thinking this venue would be strict about it.  Last year I went to the show but didn't have a coop yet.

I was there in 2012 and did not notice people selling outside, although they had a huge sale area inside.

All i know is i am counting the days down till the show!!! i have never shown chickens before and would love to someday but i have no clue on how to start.

Sweet! I think the show is going to be awesome too! I learned a lo about showing, the torture of bathing Large Fowl in winter, and the importance of testing on a thread here on BYC (2012 Northeastern Poultry Congress thread). Poultryshowcentral.com is also a great source of info. You can find shows in your area there Nd they even have basic information about showing such as how to bathe your bird.

I am planning on attending, not showing or selling, but hoping to buy some hatching eggs: modern game, Belgian D'Anver's, dutch, old english, or other clean legged bantams. PM me if you are bringing some.

I am going as a spectator/shopper. I am seeking Belgian D'Anvers, preferably self blue. Let me know if you have a couple to sell. Will pay premium for hens (we can't keep roosters where we live).

Getting closer to the date of the show----

I'm not showing but would like to attend as I think my kids would love looking at all the birds, especially the ducks.

Hey everyone! So the show is only 8 days away and setup will be under way this Sunday starting at 9am and going until the work is done. We are looking for as much help as possible. There will be something for everyone to help with and lunch will be provided. It will be at the Mallory Complex of the Big E Fairgrounds if anyone is interested. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you guys at the show!

Arielle! I have a friend in PA who is interested in raising Sweet Grass Turkeys, any chance you'll have eggs at the show? Then I can be part of an 'egg train'. I don't really know if Danielle is ready yet, but thought I'd offer since we'll both be at the show.
