Northeastern Poultry Congress - Springfield, MA - Jan 16-17, 2010

It is always amazing to me, a large livestock animal breeder, shwman and loving owner, that parents do not teach their children the sacredness of animal souls and allow them to manhandle them. This is one of the major reasons I dislike showing, especially at huge shows, or if there are alot of animals brought without enough watchers.

a lot of peaple dont really mind, i tell you the very first show that i went to i brought my nephew and niece, next thing i know they showed me a bunch of eggs in the car, i said where did you get them, and they said ummmm from chickens, i sadi ok smart *ss, they took them from all the chickens in show, brats.
i yelled aty them, but then when we got home i incubated them and not 1 was fetile at all. lol i loughd at them for that.

a lot of showers dont breed there show Q, becouse of breakage of the feathers on the hens.

Wow... I never would have thought of taking eggs.. I think in the side where they were selling a kid was sticking his hand in a cage to hold a chicken... I don't think he was with the seller either... amazing world we share:)

How much do you want to spend and how many eggs do you want to hatch at once?

I have Brinsea ECO 20s. I like them but their capacity is rather small compared to say a Hovabator (20-24 for a Brinsea compared to 42 for a Hovabator). I think a Brinsea is easier to clean than a Hovabator and the temperature is easier to maintain. Price is probably the same for both.

a lot of peaple dont really mind, -if the eggs are on the outside of the cage( i meant to say that part) i tell you the very first show that i went to i brought my nephew and niece, next thing i know they showed me a bunch of eggs in the car, i said where did you get them, and they said ummmm from chickens, i sadi ok smart *ss, they took them from all the chickens in show, brats.
They did stick there arms into the cages, they grabbed eggs thatwere on the sides or on the floor.
and thye do know now not even do that.

Edited to correct my choice of words.

IT IS WRONG TO TAKE EGGS FROM ANY CAGE, IT IS WRONG TO OPEN ANY CAGE UNLESS YOU ARE A JUDGE.

I KNOW THIS. My choice of words was wrong, But know this I did not have them do it nor will i ever.

Edited.
