so, how was the show? i wish i could have found someone to go. but boy then i would have missed chores and splitting wood, darn. tell us how great it was and what great things you found.

I

I went today around noon and it was wonderful to see all the different birds but the sale area was practically empty (a seller told me that there had been swarms of people there earlier in the day and everyold sold all their birds pretty quickly) so I didn't even get to consider buying a silkie or polish (which is probably a good thing, but dissapointing). Also, I only saw 1 large glw and I thought my glw was every bit as beautiful as the one entered in the show - so that made me feel proud.

It was fun, But they need more Vendors there. EggCartons.com were the only ones there set up with a lot of neat stuff to purchase. As my luck would have it, I just ordered a bunch of stuff 2 weeks ago

We got there a bit after 10am and saw some beautiful birds.
But yes, the sales area was disappointing. Also only saw one Porcelain D Uccle. All the others were Mille Fleur. . while I like them. I was hoping to see some self blues.

How much does it cost for a vendor spot? I could have brought fudge and some of my chicken jewelry.

Well, we've been planning tomorrow for weeks and we'll be up at 6:30am to bring our girls to a sitter and get the farm settled before heading out there...
I'll let you all know how it was tomorrow, if it was "practically empty" today I don't even want to think about. I'm biting my nails already.

*Were there eggs for sale? At least I might be able to come home with something to put into my bator.... *sigh*

There definitely weren't very many large fowl for sale. There were quite a few bantams and silkies. My friend Natalie got a pair of gorgeous (I'm going to screw this up) Red Laced Blue Wyandottes (I think). That breeder had three pairs there. A boy was there selling Ameraucana cockerels, and someone else had Silver Spangled Hamburgs, plus there were a few turkeys. They all went fast! I would imagine there will be more tomorrow morning, but you'd better get there early!

I did not see any eggs for sale other than the marans eggs that wre being auctioned off.
