I just found this thread!! We're going Sunday!

Odd question but is there air flow in a closed trunk of a car?
I don't have my SUV anymore since the engine siezed on me, so I have my MIL's car and I'm trying to maximize bought chicken space. It will be me, my husband in the front and our 8 year old in the back which leaves space for maybe two cages stacked next to him and then if I can put more in the trunk...

How does buying a bird work? Should one walk around the show with an empty cage waiting to buy some or wait until you see what you want and then run out to your car to get the cage? I've never done this before!

ooohhh Good question!

I want to know the answer to that one! I had figured to carry a pet crate with me, and keep a bunch of larger cages out in my truck, but I want to know what others do...

i keep the crates in the car . or if i want them bad ill just buy them and carry them to my car .

There is both . there are pairs and singles . I can only have hens so i always get stuck with the roos !!

hi BYCers! i've been reading this forum for months and registered today. i'm starting a small film about showing chickens, and how neat and fascinating chickens are. i've been in touch with Cheryl from the Northeastern Poultry Congress, and will be shooting footage at the congress this coming saturday.
i just wanted to post, and introduce myself - i hope folks aren't too shy with the camera. i'll be roaming around and talking to people showing their birds - i hope to find some great stories and meet other enthusiasts in the area. this is my first film, so it should be quite an adventure. i'm SO excited - this is going to be a wonderful weekend and i can't wait to see all the fantastic birds!
