I'm about 5 1/2 hours away too, and I'm planning on making it! Its not that bad of a drive.

Sounds like everyone is 5 and half hours away from Lovins. We are, too!

I'm still working with cardboard design. I need to make sure all the pieces fit reasonably well, get some 30 gauge sheet steel and cut the bits out with shears, and then John will weld them together. I'm thinking about making some chicks to go with then hen out of glass fish net floats.

Still working on it! Just got side lined until the pups can see Maggie's big butt coming and get out of the way!

I can't wait to see what your prototype looks like! Will my chicken still be getting a ride on the roof of the car?

Very likely!

We might be able to come. We're about 4 hours away I think. Sounds like fun! Will there be any butchering demonstrations? DH could probably use that. We haven't done it yet but probably will this year.

We'll leave the kiddies with Grandma and make it an over-nighter. How romantic LOL!

How sad is it that I haven't even located where Huevelton is on a map?!?

I'll drive if Craig navigates. I have no sense of direction.

I was thinking of making a vacation out of it. Maybe hitting some places on the way up or back. That all depends on if we have critters with us though!
What do you think you all will be bringing with you, if anything. Chicks, eggs, etc ?

Have business cards handy! I bet you'll get people from all over wanting some.

Just so you know there an entrance fee to enter NYS. You must pay at least one silkie ameraucana before you will be admitted in NYS.

Oh, I wish! My cockerel dropped dead last week... I was hoping to at least bring some F1's with me.

If my pullet makes it to laying age, I do have an F1 cockerel waiting for her. I'm hoping to have some by then!
