I now use the new-and-improved shortened version 'Jaers' myself, but I think 'YARE-hahn' is about right.

I wanted to call them JaerHORNS when I first found out about them! I first learned about them by talking to a lady in south Louisiana who had some and it was during the time when the heat index was 116 and she said her ladies were still laying in the heat but only slowed down a lil

WOW... And she said her husband would call them "JaerHORNS" too LOL...
