yeah you can keep them in if you want them to breed or just to keep eachother company. if you watch the youtube vid theres a bunch of people with pairs

Actually, its not a good idea to keep a male with a female, at all. They can get very agressive with breeding and wind up killing your female. She will already be stressed after laying, and if he breeds her right after she lays, she can get worn out and die. Also, if he stresses her out too much while she's gravid, she could get egg binding and die. It doesnt happen to everyone, but its a possibility so its best not to keep male/female pairs together. I kept my females together and they did great, but sometimes females wont live together either.

Just thought I'd thank everyone for their sympathy and caring. I'm doing better today, my poor male seems upset. Bad thing is, I'll have to wait to bury her, grounds frozen, and I want her to be buried properly because she ment a lot to me.

Thanks purplechicken. I believed she lived a very good life. I'm going to make her a very beautiful cross. I make jewelry and Have lots of beads and things to make it look nice.

That's what I thought OEGBman, just wanted to make sure. I keep my big girl in a 33gal aquarium, she seems to enjoy it in there.
