Okay. This is my question. I have 15 chantecler eggs that I moved to the hatcher last night.
As I was doing my day 18 candleing before putting the bator on lock down, trying to get a better look I absent mindedly moved the light to the small end of the egg. I saw a clear area. Not like the air cell clear, but a clear more compareable to the white part of an infertile egg. Curious I candled the rest at the small end as well and noticed the same thing on about half the eggs.
When I candled the large end I could see the air cell and the egg appeared dark. None of them smell. Are these dead embryos? I don't know if this is normal as in all my other hatches I don't think I have ever candled the small end(or if I have I never noticed this) of the egg. I didn't notice movement but I rarely do this late in incubation as I don't wait for it. I just take a quick look and place them in the hatcher if all appears well.
I know I will find out in a few days , I just wonder if anybody else has noticed this.
Temp and humidity has been perfect throughout.
