I'm eager to get started but also don't want to rush into anything, the main objective is a healthy and happy flock!

You are most heartily welcome!!! I am rather new to BYCs myself but I have learned tons just lurking on this site. It sounds like a great adventure that you and your husband are beginning!! What fun! I'm sure you will enjoy this wonderful, supportive community and we are so excited that you've :wee joined!

Hi! :frow Welcome to BYC! Have you been to the learning center yet? That's a great place to start. I would definitely take a look at some of the coop set ups on here. Also, you can just post what you have going on in a new thread under Coop Design and you'll get lots of suggestions.
