Not again 😣

Too bad Dougie can't hatch but I sure understand I have 3 broody bantam chickens and one broody goose. Plus my Muscovy is the only one sitting on live ducklings in the shell.
What day are you on with Spri?
Day 3, we did two days no food and now we're doing oats

Hows she handling this? and you?
She is doing okay, she was quite sad yesterday, especially when she could hear Dougie eating, and was extremely confused why she wasn't allowed. She required a lot of cuddles.
She's in good spirits today though, happy with her oats

It was very difficult not to give in yesterday, seeing her so sad. But it's for the best. Hopefully.

I am starting to give in to my broodies and giving them duck eggs, as I don't want more chickens. I have 2 girls whom think broody is the only way to be.
I am honestly hoping the duck eggs make them stop being broody, as opposed to hatch, cause I want the momma's to eat...
As for Dougie, have you tried golf balls? I've heard that works.
Congrats on withstanding your sad faced duck. I am clearly not that strong some days.

Golf balls are a good idea! Might be worth a try.
This girl is so broody, she's probably sit on a potato. (I'm not going to give her potatoes don't worry)

But potatoes would grow sprouts {get it} :p
