Not an Ameruacana

Here is Buffy. She is about 18 weeks old and is not an Ameruacana. (Comb is all wrong, no "fluffy cheeks.") Any suggestions what she might be and what color eggs we might expect?

looks like a welsummer pullet

they lay dark brown eggs

that looks like a young welsummer pullet and they lay a rich dark terracotta brown egg and egg production is above average

Thanks! Yeah, she sure does look like a Welsummer.... which is interesting, because that was not one of the breeds that were offered at the store where we got her.

Did they offer Barnevelders? If the place you got them from, got them from a place that had both Barnevelers and Wells, maybe one of the babies got mixed in. Hatchery Barnies look a lot like Wells when they are born, non-hatchery look different. I think that is because Wells were crossed with Barnie at some point to try and get darker eggs. While a little far reaching it is just a thought
